He has been practicing law for nearly 40 years. He started the firm in 1980, after serving as a staff attorney with the Air Line Pilots Association International, and after working as an associate in the Miami office of a national management-side employment law firm. He is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Aviation Law and is an AV rated attorney. He has written numerous articles on aviation law, and have lectured on aviation and employment law before various Florida Bar committees. He has also taught aviation law at the Nova Center for the Study of Law in Fort Lauderdale, and at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He was the publisher of Stuart Goldstein's NSTB Digest, a publication for attorneys who appear in certificate enforcement actions. He is a member of the Florida Bar (member, Aviation Law Section, member, Employment Law Section, and member, Aviation Law Certification Committee), the District of Columbia Bar, and the Maryland Bar. He is also a member of the Lawyers-Pilots Bar Association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and the Experimental Aircraft Association. He has been a licensed pilot since 1965, and holds an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. He is half owner of an RV-6, and 1/25 owner of two Beechcraft Bonanzas.
